Rain, flash flood risk forecast for four Afghan provinces

The Meteorology Department has forecast rain on Wednesday, 8 Mizan, in the provinces of Nuristan, Sar-e-Pul, Faryab and Ghor, with a possibility of flash floods in some areas.

According to the forecast, rainfall in different parts of these provinces will range between 10 and 30 millimetres.

The department also reported relatively strong winds in parts of the north, west, south and central regions of the country. Wind speeds could reach 50 to 90 kilometres per hour.
