U.S. Supreme Court allows deportation of some migrants to third countries

The U.S. Supreme Court has allowed Donald Trump’s administration to send some migrants with deportation orders to countries that are neither their countries of origin nor necessarily places with any connection to them. The permission does not apply to all migrants and is limited to those who have been issued deportation orders from the United States.

In some related cases, people with criminal records have also fallen under this policy. For the third time, the Supreme Court has temporarily allowed the Trump administration to carry out the program.

The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear arguments from both sides in the case in December this year and is expected to deliver a final ruling by July.
