India Sends Shipment of Medicines and Medical Supplies to Kabul
Randeep Jaiswal, spokesperson for India’s Ministry of External Affairs, said his country has sent a shipment of essential medicines and consumable medical supplies to Kabul.
He wrote on his X account on Monday that India’s humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan continues. According to him, the health sector is at the centre of this aid.
The Indian foreign ministry spokesperson did not provide further details on the size of the shipment or when it would be distributed.
In recent years, India has also pursued part of its humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan through the delivery of medicines, food items and cooperation in the health sector. Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, is considered the main centre for receiving and distributing some of this aid.
