Israel intensifies air and artillery strikes on southern Lebanon
Southern Lebanon was again hit by widespread Israeli attacks early on Monday morning, in strikes that included air raids, heavy artillery fire and multiple explosions.
According to Al Mayadeen, Israeli warplanes targeted areas around Meidfoun, Kfar Tebnit, Al-Mansouri, Hadatha, Haris, Al-Khiam, Mays al-Jabal and Al-Qantara. Wadi Zibqin was also hit twice in air strikes.
Alongside these attacks, heavy artillery shelling was reported on Wadi Zibqin, Al-Salouqi, Hadatha, Al-Mansouri, Siriyin, Houla, Zawtar al-Sharqiyah, Al-Khiam, Kfar Tebnit, Arnoun, Aitaroun, Haris and Barashit.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces carried out a powerful explosion in Mays al-Jabal. At the same time, Israeli drones were seen over Beirut, the Bekaa Valley and areas in southern Lebanon, an incident that coincided with the second anniversary ceremony marking the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
Southern Lebanon, along the border with Israel, is among the main arenas of confrontation between the two sides and has repeatedly come under air and artillery attacks in recent months.
