Death Toll in Gaza Rises to Nearly 70,000 Amid Ongoing Israeli Attacks

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has released updated figures reporting that the number of fatalities resulting from Israeli military operations since the outbreak of war on October 7, 2023, has reached 69,785.

The ministry added that the total number of people injured during this period has risen to 170,965, many of whom are women and children. Over the past 24 hours alone, the bodies of 10 more individuals have been transported to medical centers—two killed in recent attacks and eight recovered from beneath the rubble.

The continuing bombings and the failure of international efforts to halt the conflict have left thousands more trapped under debris, with dwindling hopes for their survival. Aid organizations have warned that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is now more severe than ever.

Although a ceasefire was announced on October 11, 2025, at least 347 people have been killed and 889 others wounded since then. In this same period, the bodies of an additional 596 individuals have been recovered from the rubble. The international community has increasingly criticized Israel’s conduct and called for an immediate end to the attacks, but no effective actions have been taken to resolve the crisis.
