Israeli Drone Strike Targets Vehicle in Southern Lebanon Despite Ceasefire

An Israeli drone targeted a private vehicle in the southern Lebanese town of Aita al-Shaab on Saturday, according to local sources.

Details regarding potential casualties or the identities of those in the vehicle have not yet been released. Lebanese media reported that the attack occurred just minutes before the news was made public, and Lebanese officials have so far not commented on the incident.

Despite a declared ceasefire between Tel Aviv and Beirut, Israeli forces have carried out repeated strikes across southern Lebanon in recent weeks. These operations have included the use of drones and fighter jets, which have regularly violated Lebanese airspace.

The near-constant presence of Israeli warplanes and drones in Lebanon’s skies has become a daily reality in the south. The Lebanese central government’s inability to curb these violations of national sovereignty has fueled growing public concern.

While Israel continues its unilateral military actions, the Taliban administration in Afghanistan, which has adopted repressive policies toward media and the Afghan people, has remained silent, refraining from expressing regional solidarity or support for the Lebanese resistance.
