Afghan United Front Says It Killed Two Taliban Members in Kandahar Attack

The Afghan United Front has said that at least two Taliban members were killed in a targeted attack in the city of Kandahar.
In a post on its X account on Saturday, 31 Asad, the front said the attack took place the previous day in the Sixth Police District of Kandahar city.
According to the Afghan United Front, the operation targeted Taliban forces. The Taliban administration has so far made no comment on this claim or on similar reports of attacks in Kandahar and Helmand.
The development comes as reports have emerged in recent weeks of a rise in attacks on the Taliban administration in several parts of Afghanistan. Kandahar city is considered one of the key centres in southern Afghanistan and holds particular security and political importance for the Taliban administration.
