52 Iranian Companies to Participate in Kabul Agricultural Exhibition

In continuation of negotiations for holding the International Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Exhibition in Kabul, 52 Iranian companies have expressed their readiness to participate in this event, an initiative officials say aims to expand trade relations.

According to information released by the Taliban’s Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Animal Husbandry, Attaullah Omari, the acting head of the ministry, met with Ali-Reza Beikdeli, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul, to discuss the participation of Iranian companies and preparations for the exhibition.

The Iranian ambassador stated that 32 Iranian companies have already set up their booths at the exhibition, with another 20 companies expected to take part.

The International Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Exhibition is scheduled to take place from August 11 to August 16 in Kabul. The Taliban administration has described the event as an opportunity to showcase domestic and international products and to develop trade relations. Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s agriculture sector continues to face significant challenges, and stakeholders emphasize the need for practical and sustained support.

Agriculture is one of the main pillars of Afghanistan’s economy, with a large portion of the population relying directly or indirectly on it for their livelihood.
