UN OCHA Provides Aid to 191 Families Affected by Floods in Nuristan

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has announced that following recent floods in the Bargi Matal district of Nuristan province, 191 families have received urgent assistance. According to OCHA, the aid included tents, blankets, winter supplies, and hygiene items, distributed to meet the immediate needs of the affected families. The agency added that the distribution process was carried out in coordination with humanitarian partners and with the support of donors to ensure that the affected families could secure their basic living necessities. Nuristan province has experienced severe floods in recent weeks; these events have caused not only financial losses but also disrupted access for some residents to shelter and essential living facilities.
