Israeli Forces Step Up Military Activity Around Syria’s Quneitra Province

Recent reports from Syria indicate that Israeli military forces have increased their presence and patrols around Quneitra province. Field sources say the new movements have mainly been observed in areas bordering the occupied Golan Heights, involving the deployment of tanks and heavy equipment.

Local sources also confirm that Israeli activity has increased along the route between Tel al-Farah and Ruweidina in the northern outskirts of Quneitra. These locations are close to the contact lines between the Syrian army and Israeli forces, which have seen sporadic clashes since the beginning of the Syrian conflict.

With mounting tensions in the region, many military observers fear that these movements may be a prelude to a new Israeli military operation in Syria. In recent years, Israel has repeatedly targeted various military positions in Syria, claiming its actions aim to counter Iranian influence in the country.

The international community has repeatedly called on Israel to respect Syria’s national sovereignty. However, Israel has expanded its military presence by exploiting security gaps in the region. Experts warn that the continuation of this trend could further destabilize regional security.
