Gaza Health Ministry Reports Death Toll Reaches 73,000 Amid Ongoing Israeli Strikes

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has announced that, since the continuation of Israeli attacks on October 7, 2023, the number of fatalities in the region has risen to 73,317, with injuries reaching 173,961.

According to the ministry, in the past 48 hours alone, the bodies of six martyrs and 37 injured individuals have been transferred to Gaza hospitals. Among the recent victims, four were newly killed, while two others succumbed to previous severe injuries.

The Gaza Health Ministry also stated that many victims remain trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings and in the streets, with rescue teams unable to reach them due to difficult conditions.

Based on the reported statistics, since the ceasefire announcement on October 11, 1,191 Palestinians have been killed and 3,853 others wounded. During this period, the bodies of 803 martyrs have been recovered from under the rubble.

The Gaza Strip is one of the most densely populated Palestinian areas, which in recent months has faced extensive infrastructure destruction, a shortage of medical facilities, and a growing humanitarian crisis.
