Taliban Embassy Highlights Expansion of Food Cooperation with Uzbekistan

Sheikh Abdul Ghafar Bahr, the Taliban administration’s ambassador to Uzbekistan, emphasized the development of bilateral cooperation in the food and spice sectors during a trade forum in Tashkent.
According to a statement from the Afghan embassy in Uzbekistan, the meeting focused on food, spices, and medicinal products, with officials from both sides discussing the expansion of trade relations.
The Taliban ambassador stated that joint investment, technology transfer, and the development of spice production in the hairtan industrial center were among the key priorities discussed at the forum. He also claimed that the Afghan embassy is ready to support traders from both countries in this sector.
Hairtan, located in Balkh province, is one of Afghanistan’s most important trade gateways with Uzbekistan, and a significant portion of trade between the two countries passes through this route.
