Four Killed as Two Vehicles Collide in Laghman Province

Four people were killed, eight injured, and ten others went missing following a collision between a truck carrying returning migrants and a Prius car on the Kabul-Jalalabad highway. The incident occurred last night in the Kheyrukhail area of Laghman province.
The spokesperson for Laghman’s Traffic Department stated that both vehicles fell into the river after the collision. The bodies of four victims and eight wounded individuals were recovered from the water.
According to initial information, efforts to locate the ten missing individuals are ongoing. Search and rescue teams are actively working in the area to determine the fate of those unaccounted for.
The Kabul-Jalalabad highway is one of the country’s busiest routes and has frequently witnessed traffic accidents. Local residents are calling for increased safety measures on this road.
