Iran’s Parliament Speaker Urges Citizens to Attend Funeral of Martyred Leader Ayatollah Khamenei

The Speaker of Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly has issued an official message calling on citizens to participate in the farewell and funeral ceremony of the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf emphasized in his message that by widely attending this event, the people will send the “call for justice” of the nation to the world.
According to Iranian media, Ghalibaf described the funeral of the martyred leader as more than just an official ceremony, calling it “the nation’s renewed pledge to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution and the path of the martyrs.” He added that the large turnout of the people could demonstrate Iran’s steadfastness in the face of oppression and arrogance.
In another part of his message, the Speaker urged youth, families of martyrs, veterans, and other segments of society to take part in the ceremony “with grandeur.” He also stressed the importance of maintaining order, unity, and cooperation with the event organizers.
Ghalibaf called the ceremony a historic event and stated that every step toward this gathering is a tribute to the struggle of a person who, he said, devoted his life to Islam and the dignity of the nation. He concluded by praying for the martyred leader’s elevation in the hereafter and asking for divine guidance in the continuation of leadership under the new leader.
