Taliban Authorities Seal Khatam al-Nabiyyin Complex in Kabul Without Final Court Ruling

The trustees of the Khatam al-Nabiyyin seminary in Kabul have announced that the Taliban’s Ministry of Justice has sealed the building of this religious center in the city. According to the trustees, this action was taken despite the fact that the Taliban court has not yet issued a final verdict in the related case.

According to the published statement, the sealing includes the mosque, Hussainiya, library, and schools affiliated with the seminary that provide education for both men and women. Seminary officials have stated that all these sections have been closed by the Ministry of Justice.

So far, the Taliban authorities have not clarified the reasons behind this decision. Closing an educational and religious center before the final court ruling raises questions about legal procedures and the adherence to fair trial principles under Taliban rule.

The Khatam al-Nabiyyin seminary is known as one of Kabul’s prominent educational centers, conducting extensive religious, cultural, and educational activities. The sealing of this center could affect the educational and religious activities of hundreds of Kabul residents.
