Construction Begins on $10 Million Market in Paktika

Construction has officially begun on a large commercial market named “Tehsil Dar Khan” with an investment of $10 million in the center of Paktika province. The project is being implemented on a 17-jerib (approximately 10-acre) piece of land and is expected to take two and a half years to complete.

According to provided information, the plan includes constructing 33 five-story market blocks, 52 shops, and a 750-meter-long, 16-meter-wide road. Additionally, other necessary facilities to support commercial activities are being considered.

Paktika, a province in southeastern Afghanistan, has a population primarily engaged in agriculture and local trade. The establishment of such standard markets is expected to boost economic activities and provide greater convenience for merchants and buyers in the provincial center.
