Iran President Discusses Recent Agreement in Separate Calls with Pakistan and Qatar Leaders

Iran’s President held separate phone conversations with the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Emir of Qatar to discuss the latest developments related to the recent agreement and the upcoming processes. The talks also reviewed the status of bilateral relations and ways to expand joint cooperation.

According to the ISNA news agency, the Iranian President expressed gratitude to Pakistani officials for their role in mediation efforts and facilitating negotiations during his conversation with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. He thanked the Pakistani government, including the Prime Minister, the army chief, and the interior minister, for their efforts in helping reach the preliminary agreement to end the war, describing this approach as a sign of goodwill and regional responsibility.

Referring to the importance of this agreement, the Iranian President expressed hope that the outcome will lead to a reduction in tensions, stabilization of peace, and the start of a new phase of regional cooperation in the interests of the peoples in the region.

In response, the Pakistani Prime Minister welcomed the agreement, which he said was reached with signatures from the relevant officials of Iran, the United States, and Pakistan, calling it an important step for strengthening regional stability and security. He emphasized the historical, cultural, and religious ties between the two countries and stated that Islamabad will continue its mediation role and cooperation in the subsequent stages of the talks.

Shahbaz Sharif also stressed the expansion of bilateral relations in the fields of science and technology, industry, agriculture, trade, and economy, describing the existing capacities between Tehran and Islamabad as extensive.

Simultaneously, the Iranian President in a separate call thanked the Emir of Qatar for his country’s role in reducing tensions and creating the conditions for the agreement. The Emir of Qatar, for his part, highlighted the importance of diplomacy and dialogue, calling the recent agreement an opportunity to strengthen regional stability.
