Afghanistan and Kazakhstan Emphasize Continued Security Cooperation

Abdul Manan Hassan, Deputy Military Chief of the Taliban Border Police, met with Gaziz Akbasov, Kazakhstan’s ambassador to Kabul, to discuss joint security issues and ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

The Taliban’s Ministry of Interior issued a statement announcing that the two sides focused on expanding cooperation in security matters and exchanged views on common challenges during the meeting.

The meeting also underscored the importance of ongoing interaction and coordination between the security agencies of Afghanistan and Kazakhstan. No further details about specific areas of cooperation were disclosed.

Kazakhstan, one of the Central Asian countries, has maintained its relations with Kabul across various fields in recent years, with security matters, especially regional stability, being central topics in discussions between the two sides.
