Hezbollah Launches Rocket and Drone Attacks on Israeli Positions in Southern Lebanon

Hezbollah announced that since early Saturday, it has carried out at least seven rocket and drone operations against gatherings and military equipment of Israeli forces in southern Lebanon. In its latest statement, the group said it shelled the newly established Israeli base in the town of Maroun al-Ras at 12:20 PM. According to Hezbollah, these attacks were carried out in response to Israel’s ceasefire violations and as part of the “legitimate right of resistance.”
The statements detailed that Israeli military gatherings around the town of Kafr Tibnit were targeted by two explosive drones. Additionally, a military bulldozer near Majdal Zoun and an armored “Namer” vehicle on the Al-Sal’ah hill in the town of Qantara were struck by explosive drones. Hezbollah added that a “Yaggi” military vehicle around Eastern Zotar, near the riverbank, was also targeted by an explosive quadcopter.
Other statements reported attacks on Israeli military positions west of the newly established Balat base and rocket fire on clusters of vehicles and troops southwest of Majdal Zoun. Hezbollah’s war media released a video showing the impact on an Israeli Humvee carrying soldiers in the town of Al-Khiyam.
Hebrew media reported that at least seven Israeli soldiers have been wounded in southern Lebanon since early Saturday, although the Israeli army has not released further details about casualties or damages. In recent days, Israeli forces have been attempting to advance toward the important city of Nabatieh, with intense clashes occurring around Ali Al-Taher hill. According to reports, these efforts have encountered resistance from Hezbollah forces.
