Turkey Dismisses Netanyahu’s Accusations as Baseless, Says They Cannot Conceal Israeli Actions

Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has responded to recent remarks by Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Israeli regime, stating that the accusations against Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkey’s president, are unfounded and provocative, and cannot conceal Israel’s responsibility for its actions.
An official statement from the ministry said Netanyahu’s comments are an attempt to divert global public opinion from ongoing developments in the region. Ankara emphasized that statements aimed at covering up the facts will not prevent accountability for Israel’s conduct.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry further declared that the country will continue to express its positions regarding Israeli policies and will pursue the matter within the framework of international law and through international judicial bodies.
This verbal tension escalated after Netanyahu, in response to Erdoğan’s remarks, accused him of suppressing domestic opponents and supporting Hamas. Netanyahu stated that Turkey cannot lecture Israel on “moral lessons.” He also stressed that Israel would continue its operations against Iran and its allies in the region.
Earlier, Turkey’s president had said that Israeli military operations in Syria and Lebanon could pose a threat to Turkey’s security. Erdoğan underscored that Ankara closely monitors developments in these two countries and will not remain indifferent to their consequences.
Relations between Turkey and Israel have been marked by political and verbal tensions in recent years, an issue that has consistently garnered widespread attention throughout the region and in international forums.
