Emirati Company Heads Announce Reactivation of Government Grain Silos Nationwide

The General Directorate of Emirati Companies has announced that the majority of government grain silos across the country have resumed operations, with serious efforts underway to activate the remaining facilities.
According to the directorate, the process of reviving silos that had been inactive in recent years due to various reasons has accelerated. Plans are in place to fully restore the storage and processing capacity of grain. Government silos play a fundamental role in wheat storage and regulating the market for basic food supplies, and their operation can significantly influence price stability in the market.
In previous years, a number of these silos had been shut down due to war, budget shortages, and management issues. The Taliban administration now says it is seeking to revive this infrastructure by utilizing domestic resources.
However, economic experts emphasize that the reactivation of the silos will only be effective if management, distribution, and monitoring of reserves are carried out transparently and systematically to prevent resource wastage and market disorder.
