Trump Claims Iran Seeks ‘Good Deal’ and Labels Critics Unpatriotic

Donald Trump, President of the United States, has claimed that Iran is seeking to reach an agreement that, according to him, would be “good” for the US. At the same time, he accused some of his critics from both the Democratic and Republican parties of being unpatriotic.

On Monday, Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social, asserting that Iran “really wants to reach a deal,” which would be beneficial for the United States and its allies. In recent weeks, he has repeatedly emphasized that negotiations are moving toward a “good deal.”

Following these remarks, the US president criticized his domestic opponents, saying their comments make the negotiation process more difficult. He claimed that some politicians, with contradictory positions including calls to either speed up or halt the talks, complicate his efforts.

In his message, Trump wrote that these criticisms are being voiced at an “unprecedented” level and added to his critics that, ultimately, everything will go well. Meanwhile, Iranian officials involved in indirect talks with the US have previously rejected some of the claims made by American officials and emphasized that progress in the discussions depends on securing Iran’s legitimate interests.

In recent weeks, US officials have again raised issues such as the status of the Strait of Hormuz and Iran’s enriched uranium stockpiles in the context of negotiations—topics considered central to the talks between the two sides.
