Israeli Military Concerned Over Sudden Political Decision to Withdraw from Lebanon Amid Ongoing Conflict

Hebrew media have reported that the Israeli military is concerned about the possibility of a sudden political order to halt the war and withdraw from Lebanon at the height of the clashes. Haaretz, citing Israeli officials, wrote that army officers are frustrated by the lack of transparent communication regarding the details of negotiations between Washington and Tehran.

According to the newspaper, one of the alarming scenarios for the military is a sudden political decision to end the war while Israeli forces are still deep inside Lebanese territory; a situation that could have complex security and operational consequences.

At the same time, Al Mayadeen, citing Israeli media, reported that the northern airspace of occupied Palestine has become “penetrable” to Hezbollah drones. This development has heightened concerns about the capabilities of Israel’s defense systems.

The Jerusalem Post also noted that after nearly three years of conflict, Hezbollah continues to keep northern occupied Palestine under fire. According to the newspaper, limited ground operations near the border and precise airstrikes have failed to eliminate the threat posed by the group, which remains armed and active.

These assessments come as Israeli officials have previously spoken repeatedly about Hezbollah’s defeat and disarmament; claims that are now being questioned by the realities on the ground.
