Hezbollah Drone Strike Destroys Israeli Humvee in Southern Lebanon Amid Rising Clashes

Hezbollah announced that in its latest operation, it targeted and destroyed an Israeli military Humvee in the city of Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon using its suicide drone “Ababil.” This attack occurred as clashes in southern Lebanon continue to escalate.

According to a Hezbollah statement, the operation was conducted as part of “defending Lebanon and its people” and in response to what it described as Israeli ceasefire violations and attacks on southern villages. The statement also mentioned that Israeli military vehicles and troops gathering in the Eastern Zoutar area were targeted by drone attacks and artillery fire.

In response, Avichay Adraee, the Israeli army spokesperson, warned residents of Nabatieh city to evacuate their homes and move north of the Zahrani River. Following this warning, reports emerged of airstrikes on the areas of Nabatieh, Rayhan, Yahmar Al-Shaqif, and the road leading to the Rashidiya camp.

Israeli media have also claimed that the Israeli military has launched ground operations beyond the “Yellow Line” inside Lebanese territory. An Israeli military source further stated that the scope of ground operations in the Nabatieh area is expanding.

Simultaneously, Lebanese media reported new attacks on the cities and areas of Nabatieh, Deir Al-Zahrani, and Haboush. The intensification of these clashes has raised concerns about the potential expansion of the war along Lebanon’s southern borders.
