Taliban Representative Discusses Health Insurance for Afghan Migrants with Iranian Official

The Taliban’s representative office in Tehran announced that its acting head held talks with the head of Iran’s Center for Foreign Nationals and Migrants Affairs regarding the challenges faced by Afghan migrants, particularly concerning the payment of health insurance for holders of the Amayesh card.

According to a newsletter from the Afghan Embassy under Taliban administration in Iran, Fazl Mohammad Haqqani, the chargé d’affaires of this office, met with Seyyed Taghi Qaemi to exchange views on the existing challenges in providing services to Afghan migrants.

During the meeting, the method of paying health insurance premiums for Amayesh cardholders was one of the main topics discussed. The Amayesh card is a document issued to some Afghan migrants residing in Iran, granting them access to certain services, including healthcare.
