Transport Ministry Supervises Progress of Dasht-Abdan Tire Park Project in Kunduz

The Planning and Infrastructure Development Directorate of the Taliban’s Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation announced that the construction of the Dasht-Abdan Tire Park project in Kunduz province is under close supervision. Dr. Mohammad Rustam Hafizyar, the General Director of this directorate, led a working delegation to visit the project and assess the progress of the work.

During the visit, officials emphasized accelerating the implementation process and adhering to the project’s technical and quality standards. Responsible authorities were also tasked with ensuring the work’s quality complies with the established standards.

Tire parks are designated areas for parking and organizing heavy freight vehicles and play an important role in managing urban traffic and preventing congestion on public roads. Kunduz province, due to its transit location in the northeast of the country, is considered one of the key routes for commercial vehicle traffic.

However, in recent years, some residents and truck drivers have complained about the lack of standard infrastructure in the transport sector and stressed the necessity of timely and practical implementation of infrastructure projects. It is expected that the Taliban administration will facilitate the timely utilization of this project through effective and transparent supervision.
