Second Kabul Flower and Ornamental Plant Exhibition to Promote Green Spaces and Nature Appreciation

The Kabul Municipality has announced that the second major flower and ornamental plant exhibition will be held to promote a culture of nature appreciation and expand green spaces in the capital. According to the municipality, the preliminary meeting for this event was chaired by Mawlawi Mohammad Khalid Sajestani, Deputy of Urban Services at Kabul Municipality.

The meeting emphasized the importance of developing and maintaining green spaces and beautifying Kabul city. The Deputy of Urban Services stated that besides providing an opportunity to view flowers and ornamental plants, the exhibition will also collect citizens’ opinions and suggestions to be used in the future selection of species compatible with Kabul’s climate.

According to Kabul Municipality, another goal of this program is to strengthen the culture of nature appreciation among the city’s residents. Additionally, the private sector will have the opportunity to sell flowers and ornamental plants directly, enabling producers to offer their products firsthand.

Based on published information, thousands of flowers produced by nurseries and greenhouses under the Directorate of Greening at Kabul Municipality will be displayed at the exhibition, and citizens will be able to purchase them at reasonable prices.

The first flower and ornamental plant exhibition, held last year by Kabul Municipality, was widely welcomed by residents and supported by several governmental departments. The exact date and location for the second exhibition will be announced in the coming days.
