ICRC Donates Kitchen Sets to Health Centers in Western Afghanistan to Enhance Maternal Nutrition Training

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) announced that it has donated kitchen sets to six primary health centers affiliated with the Afghan Red Crescent Society in the western region of the country to strengthen nutrition education for mothers.

According to the organization, the aim of this assistance is to equip healthcare workers so they can teach mothers practical skills related to healthy nutrition and better food preparation methods. This initiative is part of efforts to improve the nutritional status of children in the community.

Health officials emphasize that practical training in food preparation can play a vital role in preventing child malnutrition—a challenge faced by many families in difficult economic conditions.

The ICRC added that such support is a simple but effective way to enhance children’s health and build healthier communities.
