UNICEF Supports Continued Education for Returning Children in Herat with Temporary Learning Spaces

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has announced the establishment of 260 temporary learning spaces in Herat province to enable returning children to continue their education until they can be officially enrolled in schools.
UNICEF stated that this program is being implemented with the support of the Asian Development Bank and the UK’s International Development Department, aiming to prevent interruptions in the educational process of children returning to the country.
According to the information released, these temporary learning spaces provide primary education and academic activities for children who have recently returned to Afghanistan and have not yet been integrated into the formal education system.
UNICEF also shared an image of a girl named Fatemeh at one of these centers in Herat, noting that alongside education, children in these areas also have the opportunity to express their artistic creativity.
