Taliban Denies Any Decision to Relocate Kabul’s Mandawi Market

The Taliban’s Ministry of Urban Development and Housing has announced that no decision has been made to relocate Kabul’s Mandawi market to another area to reduce congestion. The ministry emphasized that reports published by some media outlets regarding this matter are incorrect.
In a statement released by the ministry, it was stated that there is currently no concrete plan to move Mandawi, and that such an issue is not included in the agency’s work agenda.
Mandawi is one of the oldest and busiest commercial areas in the capital, which has always experienced severe congestion. However, the Ministry of Urban Development stressed that no official decision has yet been made concerning the relocation of this commercial center.
