Putin’s Envoy Predicts UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer Will Soon Resign

Kirill Dmitriev, the special representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin, has stated that UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer will be “forced to resign soon,” referring to a report by the Financial Times. He shared these remarks on his personal page on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
The Financial Times published an opinion piece titled “Power is Eroding in Downing Street Under Starmer’s Leadership,” featuring an image of the UK Prime Minister with a red nose in front of 10 Downing Street, the official residence and office of the Prime Minister.
In response to this image, Dmitriev wrote about why the British newspaper insulted Starmer by “painting his nose red.” He further claimed that Starmer’s policies concerning immigration, hawkish approaches, and poor decisions are damaging Western civilization, adding that signs of his removal from power are visible.
This report comes amid recent military conflicts involving the US and Israel on one side and Iranian responses on the other, which have caused economic volatility in the UK. Rising energy prices have intensified domestic pressure on Starmer’s government. Downing Street has yet to issue an official response to the Russian official’s statements.
