Hezbollah Ambush Kills One Israeli Soldier and Wounds Nine in Southern Lebanon

Israeli media have reported that following an ambush by Hezbollah forces in southern Lebanon, one Israeli soldier was killed and nine others were wounded. The incident occurred during an Israeli military operation in the village of Kafr Kela, near the Al-Matleh area.
According to these reports, soldiers from Israel’s 769th Brigade, who were on the front lines of a ground operation in southern Lebanon, encountered a landmine while carrying out a mission. The mine targeted a D-9 armored bulldozer, resulting in casualties among the soldiers accompanying it.
Israeli sources added that some of the wounded are in critical condition, and all have been transferred to hospitals for treatment. The Israeli army has announced that it has begun investigations into the timing and method of the mine’s placement.
Meanwhile, Israeli military operations to take control of the city of Bint Jbeil continue. Despite advances in some neighborhoods of the city, reports indicate that Israeli forces have not yet secured full control of the area.
At the same time, local sources report the destruction of residential homes in Bint Jbeil, a measure carried out as part of the ongoing military clashes and operations.
