24 Killed in Israeli Airstrikes on Southern Lebanon Amid Rising Tensions

Lebanese Ministry of Health-affiliated sources reported that at least 24 people have been killed as a result of Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon today. These casualties were recorded from early morning until the time of the report’s publication and include victims of airstrikes targeting multiple locations in southern Lebanon.
Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in southern Lebanon, citing the same sources, reported that Israeli attacks have continued extensively, with the town of Sarifa recently bombed by Israeli fighter jets.
Meanwhile, Lebanese sources have reported a wave of missiles fired from Lebanese territory towards areas under Israeli control. According to these sources, warning sirens sounded in several towns in Upper Galilee.
Israeli media also confirmed that sirens were heard in the Miron and Sa’sa’ regions in Western Galilee.
At the same time, Lebanon’s Islamic resistance issued a statement saying it targeted gatherings of Israeli soldiers and military equipment on Al-Hamamos hill south of the town of Al-Khiyam. The statement also said that the headquarters of the Al-Sahl battalion in the Beit Hillel military camp was struck by missiles.
Tensions on the southern Lebanese border have escalated amidst increased exchanges of fire between the two sides in recent weeks, fueling concerns over a wider regional conflict.
