Israeli Airstrikes Target 48 Areas in Southern Lebanon, Killing 27

In the continuation of clashes in southern Lebanon, Israeli warplanes have targeted at least 48 areas, towns, and districts with airstrikes over the past 24 hours. According to media sources, these attacks constitute a breach of the declared ceasefire in the region and have resulted in 27 fatalities. Reports indicate that among the victims are three emergency responders. It has also been alleged that some of these strikes involved the use of white phosphorus bombs, a substance whose use in residential areas has sparked widespread human rights criticism. The cities of Bint Jbeil, Sidon, Nabatieh, Kfarsir, Toul, and Zefta, along with dozens of villages in southern Lebanon, were targeted. Media reports highlight extensive destruction of residential homes and severe damage to civilian infrastructure. These attacks continue despite earlier announcements of a ceasefire in the area, raising new regional and international concerns amid escalating military operations and rising civilian casualties.
