Nearly 100 Afghan Migrants Released from Pakistani Prisons and Returned Home

The Directorate of Refugees and Repatriations has announced that nearly 100 Afghan migrants have been released from Pakistani prisons and have returned to Afghanistan.
Officials from the Transit Department in Spin Boldak, under the Directorate of Refugees in Kandahar, stated that these individuals were detained by Pakistani police due to lack of legal residency documents.
According to sources, after arriving at the transit center, the migrants were registered, received humanitarian aid, and were subsequently sent to their home provinces and areas.
In recent months, arrests and deportations of Afghan migrants from Pakistan have increased. Given the continuation of this trend, it is expected that the Taliban administration will take practical and sustainable measures to address the situation of returnees and provide livelihood and employment opportunities to prevent repeated forced migration.
