Afghan Community in Mashhad Holds Rally to Commemorate 40th Day of Ayatollah Khamenei’s Death

On the 40th day after the martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, a group of Afghan residents in the city of Mashhad gathered on the night of Wednesday, April 8, 2026, in the Talabe neighborhood. Organizers stated that the rally was held to pledge allegiance and support to Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei.
Participants in the gathering chanted slogans condemning the United States and Israel and expressed their views on regional developments. The event took place in an area predominantly inhabited by Afghan migrants in Mashhad.
Mashhad, the capital of Khorasan Razavi Province, is among the cities with a significant population of Afghan migrants. In previous years, various religious and political programs have been organized by segments of this community on different occasions.
