Spring Snowfall Continues in Panjshir Province

The Panjshir media office announced that snowfall began overnight in the provincial center and several districts and has continued to this day. According to the statement, despite the arrival of spring, snow is still falling in some areas of Panjshir.

Reports indicate significant snowfall in the Hesa Awal district, especially in the Kharo village, as well as in the Abshar and Rakha districts. Panjshir, known as one of Afghanistan’s mountainous provinces, typically experiences heavy snowfall during the cold seasons.

The statement emphasized that despite ongoing snowfall, the roads remain open and vehicle traffic is proceeding normally. However, there is a possibility of further snowfalls in some mountainous areas of the province.
