TIC Pledges Ambulance Support and Clean Drinking Water Projects in Jowzjan

The coordinator of the TIC organization in Balkh province has announced the group’s commitment to providing support for ambulances and establishing clean drinking water networks in several districts of Jowzjan. This was discussed in a meeting between Daniel Summers and Mawlawi Abdullah Sarhadi, the Taliban-appointed governor of Jowzjan.
According to a statement from the media office of the Jowzjan provincial governor, the meeting focused on cooperation with the Public Health Directorate to strengthen health services. The source noted that assistance for ambulances and implementation of drinking water projects in Khwaja Du Koh and Mardyan districts were among the program topics discussed.
The Taliban governor of Jowzjan also requested the TIC office to work with the provincial Public Health Directorate to establish first aid units in remote areas. The aim of this initiative is to provide urgent health services to patients in emergency situations.
Residents of the remote districts of Jowzjan have long faced shortages of health services and limited access to clean drinking water. While such commitments can be seen as a positive step, local residents emphasize the importance of implementing these promises and ensuring transparent monitoring of project execution.
