Ceiling Collapse in Ghazni Kills Two During Roof Repairs

Officials at the Ghazni Police Command under Taliban administration report that the collapse of a residential house ceiling in Qarabagh district resulted in two fatalities. Khalid Sarhadi, spokesperson for the Ghazni Police Command, stated that the incident occurred while the two individuals were repairing the house’s roof, which had been damaged by recent heavy rains. According to him, the ceiling suddenly collapsed during the work, trapping both under the debris. According to the information provided, the victims died at the scene. No further details regarding their identities have been released. Officials also noted that recent heavy rains in Ghazni and several other provinces have caused both financial damage and casualties. Residents of some areas have expressed concern about the vulnerability of mud-brick houses to continuous rainfall.
