ICRC Provides Cash Assistance to 1,100 Families Affected by Conflict in Kandahar

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has announced that in the aftermath of recent clashes in Kandahar province, cash assistance has been provided to 1,100 affected families. These funds were distributed in cooperation with the Afghan Red Crescent Society.
According to released information, many families were forced to flee their homes due to the fighting, leaving their essential belongings behind. The cash aid is intended to meet the immediate needs of these families.
Kandahar province, located in southern Afghanistan, has witnessed security incidents in recent months. The ongoing insecurity and clashes in certain areas have raised concerns regarding the situation of civilians and their access to basic services.
Humanitarian organizations have consistently emphasized that supporting civilians affected by conflict requires safe access and cooperation from local authorities. So far, the Taliban administration has not provided further details about the clashes.
