Officials Stress Acceleration of Sheberghan-Dasht-e-Alwan 500kV Transmission Line Project

The Breshna Company announced that during a meeting between Mullah Abdul Haq Hamkar, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, and Shirbaz Kaminzadeh, head of Afghan Invest Company, both sides emphasized the acceleration and completion of the remaining work on the Sheberghan–Dasht-e-Alwan 500-kilovolt transmission line project.

According to Breshna’s newsletter, the meeting focused on advancing the technical and executive aspects of the project and enhancing coordination to finalize the outstanding sections. This project is considered one of the major power transmission initiatives in northern Afghanistan, and its completion could significantly improve energy access in several areas.

Mullah Abdul Haq Hamkar assured during the meeting that Breshna would continue its comprehensive cooperation to ensure the effective implementation of this project. He stressed the company’s commitment to advancing the work.

Meanwhile, Shirbaz Kaminzadeh stated that the remaining tasks would proceed more rapidly and that all project stages would follow the established timeline.

Power infrastructure projects are being pursued amid ongoing complaints from residents in several provinces about electricity shortages and delays in completing transmission projects. It is expected that transparent oversight and responsive management by the Taliban administration and relevant institutions will address these issues effectively.
