Pakistan Requests Two-Week Extension to Curb Middle East War

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that diplomatic efforts to end the ongoing war in the Middle East are progressing, and he has called on US President Donald Trump to extend the current deadline by two more weeks to allow more time for fruitful negotiations.

In a message posted on his official X social media account, he stated that the diplomatic process is continuing “steadily and vigorously” and could lead to significant results in the near future. According to him, granting additional time could pave the way for a peaceful resolution.

The Pakistani Prime Minister also urged Iranian authorities to keep the Strait of Hormuz open for two weeks as a gesture of goodwill. The Strait of Hormuz is a vital energy transit route in the region, and any restrictions there could impact the region’s economic and security situation.

Shehbaz Sharif further called on all parties involved to observe a ceasefire in all areas for two weeks to facilitate progress in political talks and achieve lasting peace and stability in the region.
