Kandahar Officials Destroy 8,000 Cartons of Medicine and 20 Tons of Expired Goods

Officials in Kandahar province have announced the destruction of 8,000 cartons of medicine and 20 tons of expired and low-quality food and non-food items. According to them, these products were collected from the markets of the province over the past six months.

Authorities say a significant portion of these goods was voluntarily handed over by traders and suppliers themselves. The purpose of this action is to prevent the distribution of substandard products and protect the health of citizens.

Kandahar is one of the most populous provinces in southern Afghanistan, where monitoring the quality of medicine and food products in the markets is a major health concern. Experts consistently emphasize that using expired medicines and food can have serious health consequences, especially for children and patients.
