Deadly Floods in Nangarhar Claim 16 Lives and Injure 33

Severe floods in Nangarhar province have resulted in the deaths of at least 16 people and injuries to 33 others. These incidents occurred within the past 24 hours in Jalalabad city and 12 districts of the province.
The Nangarhar Information and Culture Department of the Taliban administration issued a statement saying that the casualties were caused by the collapse of houses and floodwaters. According to the department, several residential areas have been extensively damaged.
Based on the information provided, security forces during rescue operations have managed to safely evacuate 104 people from the floods. Additionally, hundreds of other residents who were in vulnerable areas have been relocated to safe locations.
Nangarhar province faces the threat of sudden floods every rainy season, events that cause heavy casualties and damage due to the vulnerability of residential homes and lack of preventive measures.
