Taliban Justice Minister Calls for Coordinated Efforts to Resolve Fundamental Hajj Issues

The Taliban’s Justice Minister has called for full coordination among Emirate departments, the Union of Hajj and Umrah companies, and other responsible bodies to address the “fundamental” problems in this sector. He emphasized that each department must regularly fulfill its legal duties to resolve the existing challenges in the Hajj and Umrah process.

Mawlawi Abdul Hakim Sharaei made these remarks today during a meeting of the committee examining issues related to Hajj, Umrah, and tourism companies. According to him, the lack of coordination and certain deficiencies have caused difficulties for applicants of this religious duty.

Based on the Justice Ministry’s newsletter, a report from the special committee regarding the review of problems was presented during the meeting. Participants discussed ways to facilitate the dispatch of pilgrims, prevent illegal actions, and find solutions to current challenges.

However, in recent years, some citizens have complained about increasing administrative problems and a lack of transparency in the registration and dispatch process for Hajj and Umrah. It is now expected that the Taliban administration will be accountable on this issue and implement practical and measurable actions.
