Severe Rainfall Disrupts Daily Life and Floods Homes in Nangarhar

Local officials in Nangarhar have reported that recent heavy rainfall has flooded numerous homes in the province, causing serious difficulties for residents in some areas. According to the authorities, concerns are rising over the destruction of houses and increasing damages.

Sadiqullah Qureshi, head of the Information Department at the Taliban’s Directorate of Information and Culture in Nangarhar, stated that continuous rains have led to widespread flooding in several regions, disrupting the daily lives of people.

He added that affected residents are facing significant hardships and that the damage is likely to escalate.

Provincial officials said urgent efforts to rescue people and deliver aid have begun, with relief teams deployed to the affected areas. Nangarhar, located in eastern Afghanistan, faces the risk of floods and waterlogging every year during the rainy season.
