Russia Shoots Down 148 Ukrainian Drones in Three Hours, Causing Widespread Power Outages

The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that the country’s air defense forces shot down 148 Ukrainian drones over a three-hour period across various regions of Russia. According to the ministry, the events occurred between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m., affecting mainly the central and southern parts of Russia.
Russian officials say that as a result of these attacks, nearly half a million families faced power outages. Technical teams are currently working to restore electricity and repair the damaged networks.
Reuters reported that in the border region of Belgorod, a civilian defense volunteer was killed following a drone attack. Additionally, debris from a drone struck a residential building in the port city of Novorossiysk on the Black Sea coast.
In the Crimea region, authorities stated that the city of Sevastopol was targeted by several drone attacks throughout the day, with seven drones shot down in the latest wave.
Simultaneously, in eastern Ukraine, Russian-backed officials reported that after attacks on energy infrastructure, electricity has been restored to the two major cities of Donetsk and Makiivka; however, efforts continue to fully restore power in other areas.
