Former Pakistani Foreign Minister Responds to UAE Loan Repayment Controversy
Hina Rabbani Khar, former Foreign Minister of Pakistan, reacted to reports about the United Arab Emirates requesting the repayment of a loan, expressing surprise at the ’emotional debates’ surrounding the issue.
She emphasized that relations between Islamabad and Abu Dhabi remain strong and based on brotherhood, and these ties will continue in the future. According to her, Pakistan and the UAE are two ‘mature nations’ that respect each other’s interests and decisions.
Khar also appreciated the ongoing financial and political support from the UAE to Pakistan, describing it as a reflection of the deep ties between the two countries.
