Over 4,000 Narcotic Pills Seized in Helmand, Nangarhar, and Herat Provinces

The Anti-Narcotics Police have announced that during several separate operations in the provinces of Helmand, Nangarhar, and Herat, a significant quantity of narcotics was discovered and confiscated. In these operations, 300 kilograms of ‘Opium’ were seized in Helmand, 2,800 narcotic pills were found in the second district of Jalalabad city, the capital of Nangarhar, and an additional 1,000 pills were obtained in Herat province.
According to the provided information, these substances were recovered through separate detection efforts by the police, and four individuals have also been arrested in connection with these incidents.
Officials have stated that the detainees will be referred to judicial and legal authorities after the completion of preliminary investigations, where legal decisions regarding their cases will be made.
Helmand, Nangarhar, and Herat are among the provinces that have reported narcotics trafficking and possession cases in previous years. Combating this issue remains one of the serious security and social challenges in the country.
