Japanese Ambassador Expresses Sympathy for Victims of Afghanistan Floods

Kenichi Masamoto, Japan’s ambassador to Afghanistan, has expressed his condolences to the families of the victims of the recent floods in the country and wished a speedy recovery for the injured and affected. This message comes as severe floods in recent days have caused significant casualties and damage.
The Japanese Embassy announced on its X (formerly Twitter) page on Sunday, April 5th, that Mr. Masamoto extended his sympathies to the survivors of the victims and wished health and patience for all those affected.
According to statistics provided by officials from the Taliban’s Disaster Preparedness Department, the recent floods have claimed the lives of 77 people and injured 137 others. The floods have impacted several regions of the country and caused extensive financial damage.
Earlier, the European Union delegation in Afghanistan also issued a separate statement expressing condolences to the families of the flood victims. With the recurrence of natural disasters in the country, the need for effective crisis management and support for the affected population is increasingly urgent.
